Neil was lead writer for two acclaimed series of the hit BBC spy drama Spooks. Joining the writing team for a single episode in Series 5, his major contribution was to Series 6 and 7. He wrote the following episodes:

The team are suspended from the Grid following the Ros Myers affair, and, when utterly impotent and isolated, an old adversary of Harry’s appears out of the woodwork to inform them of a bomb he’s planted in London. It’s either innocent civilians or the team itself who will perish, but who is really behind the threat?

MI5 are assigned to protect Niko Grecic, a Serbian war criminal who is testifying against his former commander at The Hague. Adam is contacted by Richard Dempsey, a former MI6 officer who betrayed him and defected to Serbia. Believing Dempsey intends to assassinate Grecic, Harry orders Zaf and Jo to kill him.
